New Membership Fee's $40.00. Once you have joined the society and renew your membership yearly before your expiration date the cost is $35.00 per year.
Student cost is Free, once graduated from your program and wish to remain a member and renew before your expiration date your cost will be $35.00 per year.
No refunds will be given on membership fees.
Conference attendee's cost will be refunded if requested 5 days prior to the date of conference and is subject to a processing fee of $25.00. A written request must be submitted to:

If you are still listed and are still a student technologist enrolled in school, your membership is free. Click the Review membership status and follow the screens to update your membership.
If you are no longer a student , go to "Update profile" first and make those changes. once done, progress to the "Review Membership Status" but this time there will be a cost to become an active member.
The U.S.R.T is an affiliate of A.S.R.T and we must adhere to the Policy, Procedures and bylaws of the A.S.R.T.. Active members are those who are registered or credentialed in a primary modality by certification agencies recognized by the A.S.R.T. Student members are those society members who are enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Science program. A.S.R.T has a provision that "Eligibility for Student Membership shall terminate upon initial Certification".
When you login to the website using your ID and Password, you will find at the top of the page on the bar a tab for "Member tools". Click on it and then select "Download Certifications" and then pick "most recent". Your certificate will pop up in a window and you will be able to print them off. Be sure you have "pop up" enabled on your computer or you won't see the certificates.

Certification is the initial passing of the ARRT boards. Everyone who takes the Registry and passes is certified
The Registry is the annual renewal procedure of acquiring CE credits, complying with ARRT rules and regulations, and complying with ARRT standards of ethics

Technologists who have recently passed their first ARRT certification exam will
begin the mandatory CE requirements on the first day of their next birth month
after the examination.
No, there are 11 states that require no licensure so anyone in those states can take an x-ray and not have any formal training in radiation protection, techniques, and positioning. The following states do not require state licensing: Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
